Seeking a Full-Time Human Resources Specialist at Savannah Lakes Village.Savannah Lakes Village is a picturesque 4000-acre lakefront community boasting an abundance of amenities, located in McCormick SC at the heart of the Freshwater Coast Region and Western South Carolina’s Sumter National Forest. The Human Resources Specialist provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources in the areas of payroll, benefits and human resources management.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assists the Director of Human Resources in the overall management of human resources:
  • provides clerical and secretarial support
  • maintains all personnel related records to include: employee personnel files, employee insurance files, employee medical files, I-9/E-Verify files
  • generates all payroll/HR related reports using ADP’s Payroll/HR system
  • Serves as Benefits Coordinator for Medical/Dental/Life/STD-LTD Insurance Programs:
  • conducts benefit orientation and enrollment as requested
  • reconciles monthly premium statements
  • assists with compiling data for the Section 125 Plan
  • serves as COBRA Administrator
  • assists employees with insurance questions and problems
  • assists with Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance
  • assists with EEO-1 reporting
  • Responsible for payroll (outsourced through ADP):
  • maintains the payroll/timeclock/HR data base and payroll files
  • enrolls employees in the biometric timeclock system
  • enters employee tip amounts into system for payroll processing
  • reviews employee time records for accuracy
  • submits all employee withholdings to the appropriate institutions such as PARDA Credit Union, Empower, etc.
  • distributes/mails employee, child support, federal and state garnishment checks
  • Assists with the recruiting and selection process:
  • conducts reference checks and background checks on applicants as requested
  • coordinates drug screening
  • assists with new employee orientation and enrollment
  • Assists with Employee Safety and Health:
  • maintains safety supply inventory
  • orders and issues personal protective equipment
  • maintains and updates the material safety data sheet books for all departments
  • provides safety training and conducts monthly safety inspections
