Job Description
HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) ASSISTANT, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), to oversee a broad range of HR services and processes. Will oversee graduate and undergraduate appointments; work closely with the CSAIL’s HR team members on a wide variety of tasks including, recruiting, onboarding, recordkeeping, training, HRIS, and processing payroll; and provide administrative support for the team.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; three years’ relevant experience; sound judgment and discretion with highly sensitive/confidential information; excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills; self-motivation; flexible approach to the workload and ability to adapt to changing work conditions and assignments; and strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the internet; and knowledge of or ability to learn HR management systems. Must be able to prioritize and handle competing tasks, meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality, follow through on all assignments; keep team members and employees informed on the status of assignments; establish oneself as a “go-to” HR resource for the team, faculty, students, visitors, and employees; use sound judgment in following and applying appropriate laws, regulations, and policies; work independently to seek out answers and/or resources; and collaborate effectively with a variety of people at all levels in a team-based environment. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree in business or human resources management; working knowledge of and experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, and performance management software; experience recruiting and onboarding employees; experience in a higher educational setting; and ability to analyze and improve on or create processes/procedures.
