Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Advisor, the incumbent provides administrative support on a variety of human resources matters such as recruitment, compensation, benefits, payroll, pension, records, labor and employee relations, performance management, and succession planning. Oversee the dissemination and implementation of human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:
1.    Act as a resource person to employees, managers, and supervisors, with respect to the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies and procedures, collective agreements, and academic policies and procedures.
2.    Perform and organize activities to support recruitment processes including preparing job postings, scheduling tests and interviews, completing reference and security checks, ensuring all immigration documents are valid, and processing offer letters and regret emails.
3.    Assist in staff onboarding and offboarding processes: use checklists to ensure the completeness of each process, and make the necessary updates in Workday and monitoring lists.
4.    Complete a variety of administrative tasks related to probation and trial period tracking and reminders, leave and attendance forms and procedures, preparation of administrative documents related to grievances or disciplinary measures, etc.
5.    Organize and maintain personnel files, compile statistics, and update various monitoring lists related to recruitment, training, grievances, etc.
6.    Gather files for grievances, arbitrations, or disciplinary administrative cases.
7.    Review disability claims. Provide information regarding missing documentation or eligibility.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
•    Fully bilingual
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•    Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
•    Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to employees and external clients
•    Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws a plus

Minimum Education and Experience:

DEC III 3 Years Related Experience /

Annual Salary:

(MPEX Grade 03) $59,870.00 – $70,440.00 – $81,010.00

Hours per Week:

33.75 (Full time)
