The HR Business Partner, based in NUS Business School, will partner with and support several Heads of Department (HODs) and Research Centre Directors to manage a full spectrum of HR functions in a proactive and consultative approach. Responsibilities:

As a key member of the HR Partnering team reporting to the Lead HR Partner for NUS Business School, your main commitments are, but not limited to:

• Partnering with academic leaders, function heads and line managers to provide advisory on all HR-related matters.
• Leading and managing processes for the appointment and re-appointment of staff on academic and administrative tracks
• Facilitating recruitment and on-boarding activities, including supporting the Faculty Promotion & Tenure Committee (FPTC) meetings and preparing draft reports
• Supporting processes related to in-service activities and rewards for academic staff, such as Promotion and Tenure, Mid-Term Advisory Report, administrative appointments, awards etc.
• Supporting the HR Lead and working with Department Administrators and HODs for activities related to the Annual Review exercise for academic staff
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a HR Business Partnering or equivalent role, ideally in a higher education institution setting
• A good University Degree, preferably in human resources management or related fields
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to relate well with people at all levels and good service orientation
• Good command of written and spoken English language 
• Meticulous, resourceful and self-driven with high degree of professional integrity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office’s suite of applications, including Outlook, Excel and Word
• Knowledge in SAP Successfactor will be an added advantage
