Human Resources (HR) is a trusted partner at the University, providing a broad range of specialist HR services across academic and professional departments.

As the HR Adviser you will engage directly with our departments to provide advice and guidance to managers on a range of HR queries and University HR policies and procedures.

About The Role

Reporting to the HR Team Leader (Senior HR Business Partner), you will be part of a team of four, supporting the HR Business Partners in complex employee relations case work.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth operational management of the HR office and coordination of HR events.

About You

You will be an experienced HR professional, with outstanding organisational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a demonstrable experience of managing employee relations matters. A flexible and self-motivated approach will be key to the success of this new role.

You will be confident and capable as well as enjoying a challenge. You are used to dealing with conflicting priorities. You can develop constructive working relationships with key stakeholders and are professional and proactive in your approach. You will ideally be CIPD qualified or be working towards graduate level (support in gaining a HR professional qualification may be considered).

Having experience of a wide range of organisational environments will be beneficial, as will familiarity of working in a unionised environment.
