Hourly Paid Lecturer in Civil Engineering -Transport Planning, CAD/Revit and Structural Engineering

Special conditions: HPL1, £44.45 per hr direct teaching hour. This includes the following three elements: teaching, preparation and marking of the scheduled programme of work. A rate of £17.78 will be paid for completing one of the above elements of the schedule. The number of hours required and the days of the week may vary.

We are seeking to potentially recruit lecturers/practical tutors who are available to work during the academic year and will be paid on an hourly basis in the following subject areas:

• Transport planning
• Structural engineering
• CAD/Revit

Within the Civil Engineering Subject area there are a number of opportunities to support teaching and delivery. You will work under the direction of the Head of Department and the course leaders in delivering high quality teaching and learning to undergraduate and / or postgraduate students. Duties will include preparation, delivery, and marking where required. You will be expected to deliver lectures, run seminars and tutorials and contribute to laboratory/practical based teaching.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate ideas of a complex or technical nature to students effectively using a variety of teaching methods, have detailed knowledge of the particular subject area through significant teaching, and / or industry experience.
