Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Clinical Diagnostic Services Manager and guided by the policies and procedures of UCSF Medical Center, Ambulatory Services and the Department of Ophthalmology, the Jr. Ophthalmic Photographer is responsible for the efficient organization and operation of all technical functions of the eye photography practice. The assignments may vary from day to day, and requires an individual to be flexible and well-trained. The primary responsibility of the Jr. Photographer is patient care, ophthalmic photography, scans and testing, and precise documentation of the patients visit. The incumbent performs complex, intricate, and technically challenging photography including Retinal Angiography and ophthalmic testing as ordered by Providers of the Department. Incumbent will also be required to assist in the capacity of a clinical technician as per needed with duties including patient care work-up and preliminary testing in preparation for the Provider’s examination of the patient.
