Job Description

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB is looking for High Pressure Class 3 Operators with a technical ability to operate high pressure, pressure trucks and hot oiler units to join their safety conscious team at Suncor Firebag! You will be responsible for operating and driving the assigned unit and for performing a variety of jobs as dictated by the client.

This is a Union Local 362 Teamsters position, wages starting at $41.44/hour

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Drives, operates and stages units.
• Performs pre and post trip inspections.
• Assist with job site preparation, staging equipment.
• Maintains and updates driver’s logbook.
• Communicates with dispatchers and supervisors throughout the day;
• Performs roadside repairs as required.

Qualifications

• Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License required with 18 speed manual transmission experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year previous as an operator operating high pressure trucks and hot oiler units
• High Pressure, vacuum truck or hydro vac operation experience would be an asset
• Minimum of one (1) year previous Oilsands or industrial experience.
• Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certificates (will be required to provide proof prior to first day and site arrival). Training can be arranged.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
• Experience in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions.
