- Market Research and Strategy Development:
- Conduct comprehensive market research in North America, analyzing industry trends, competitor landscapes, and customer demographics.
- Identify and prioritize target accounts and key decision-makers within various sectors to develop effective market penetration strategies.
- Lead Generation and Business Development:
- Utilize past experiences and outbound prospecting activities (cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, referrals) to generate qualified leads.
- Appoint and manage Sales Reps (freelance agents) to enhance market penetration and expand our sales network.
- Sales Presentations and Proposal Management:
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations tailored to customer needs, showcasing the value proposition of our automation solutions.
- Manage proposal development processes, ensuring technical and commercial effectiveness to secure successful bids.
- Pipeline Management and Forecasting:
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
- Accurately forecast sales projections and provide regular updates on sales performance and market trends.
- Relationship Building and Account Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to stay informed about potential RFQs and competitive bids.
- Collaborate with internal teams (proposal engineering, design, projects, customer support) to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in B2B sales within the industrial automation sector.
- Proficiency in warehouse automation technologies (ASRS, AMRs, Palletizing, Conveyance, WMS).
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite; ability to create effective presentations.
- Superior analytical skills and ability to work well under pressure.
