• Strategic direction and coordination of R&D program and international R&D projects in the field of new process technology aligned with R&D steering committee
• Developing and implementing innovative technology in cooperation with operations with focus on energy efficiency, fuel switch, carbon footprint, carbon capture, and digitalization
• Evaluating external developments with respect to applicability for our industry
• Optimizing production processes with respect to production output, energy efficiency, environmental impact and product quality
• Organizing and performing internal conferences and trainings
• Lead and develop a team of central (solid line) and local R&D/project managers (dotted line) and process engineers
• Responsible for budget for the department cost center
• Ensure Health & Safety standards maintained in all aspects

Your Profile

• Senior leader with academic engineering background, preferably in the field of process engineering, ceramics, mechanical or chemical engineering
• Very good knowledge in the field of thermodynamics, thermal process engineering, heat pump technology, combustion technology, electrical heating of processes
• At least 8-10 years of professional experience in the industry preferably in the field of ceramic building ceramics
• Successful record of managerial responsibility (R&D and/or production)
• Experience to set up and implement international projects (R&D and investment projects)
• Abilities to lead a team of international senior experts
• Knowledge in cooperation with research institutes, universities and funding bodies
• Good convincing interpersonal skills and creativity
• Good project and people management skills
• Willingness to travel frequently
• Very good command of German and English

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 5.241,38 per month based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week).
