Reporting to the Deputy Director of People, the Head of People Business Partnering leads a small team of People (HR) Business Partners, providing direction, focus and motivation to ensure the service meets business need and delivers on the strategic objectives of our People Strategy. They will develop the organisational-wide approach to strategic people (workforce & OD) planning and drive its implementation across the University through the Business Partnering team. They will ensure that Business Partners have clarity of purpose of their value-add priorities and objectives, as they balance both the strategic and operational elements of their roles.

The Head of People Business Partnering will work collaboratively with the Head of People Operations to ensure that operational and transactional HR services are capable of delivering across the organisation as required. They will also work closely with the Head of Organisational Development and Culture to embed OD and culture development actions into people plans. 

The successful candidate will be an established People Business Partner with proven experience of strategic partnering, workforce planning, and organisational development and culture change. They will have significant leadership experience and will have worked effectively with senior level stakeholders. Experience of working in the Higher Education sector is not essential but is desirable.
