About the Role

The Head of Digital Communications and Planning is a pivotal role within the Communications team responsible for: the leadership of Queen Mary’s brand identity (verbal and visual), our design, content and editorial functions; the management and development of our website; and the effective planning and evaluation of all communications activities. This role, and the teams that report to the role holder, are instrumental in all marketing and communications activities across the University, and serve both as an in-house service provider and the professional leads for web design/development, communications planning, brand management, content and editorial, and creative design. This role is part of the Communications leadership team.

The External Relations Directorate is responsible for the University’s external activities, including communications and marketing, student recruitment and admissions, international affairs and alumni relations and development.

The post is based at our Mile End campus in London. It is a full time, permanent appointment, with an immediate start date. The starting salary will be Grade 7, in the range of £58,949 – £65,823 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
