Position Summary
Habitat for Humanity (HFH) is a nonprofit housing organization that helps low-income people around the world access decent housing. HFH builds strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Housing poverty around the world is so widespread, that we need to engage in many ways to solve housing problems. In supporting HFH’s mission, Habitability intern will directly report to Director of Habitability and support key activities of programmatic guidance development to increase capacity building opportunities for SMEs in Habitability relevant areas and enhance the library resources of Habitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares a package Habitability Guideline and annexes.
- Structure and upload resources at International Knowledge Center of HFHI.
- Implement inventory of trainings and research for potential ones.
- Researches and creates inventory of Habitability related best practice projects within HFH network.
- Actively participates in the community of practice of Habitability group.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in areas of construction, OR engineering, OR architecture, OR other relevant sectors
- Enrolled to master’s degree in the areas relevant to housing sector
- One year of practical experience at the construction
- Computer Aided designing and software use
- Can read and explain architectural and engineering drawings
- Good level of English in communication and writing documents
- Able to travel within the country, visiting project sites
