At a time when remote jobs were scarce and rarely open outside of the US, EU Remote Jobs was created, initially as a Facebook page, before launching a not-so-easy-on-the-eye website in 2019 .
Thankfully, the site has had a fresher look since then and has grown organically to be the largest remote jobs boards dedicated to European time zones with 2.9 million job views every month, and growing rapidly. We’ve never invested in advertising and have grown organically to become a leader in the remote work space in Europe, and we’re looking for someone to help take us to the next level.

We believe remote work can better distribute employment opportunities to job seekers wherever they are based. We’re now searching for a Growth Specialist to take the lead on implementing strategies to grow EU Remote Jobs in terms of revenue and community expansion to be the go-to place for all things remote jobs in Europe.

About the role

As a Growth Specialist, you are a generalist, who thrives in the creativity of your role jumping between tasks, eager to try and test new things, not afraid to fail, and who appreciates that as a marketer your role entails constant learning, particularly around improving efficiency with new technologies that automate where possible and ultimately multiply the impact of your work!

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth

  • Identify and implement new revenue streams for the site
  • Analyse and optimise existing revenue channels
  • Develop and execute creative strategies to rapidly acquire new business, leveraging low-cost, high-impact tactics.
  • Track and report on performance metrics to demonstrate ROI and continually optimise strategies

Website Management and Optimization

  • Conduct a comprehensive website audit to identify areas for user experience improvement
  • Collaborate with developers to implement technical updates and ensure seamless user experience across all devices
  • Identify and suggest new features to benefit job seekers, employers, and the overall business goals

Content Creation and Management

  • Develop and execute a content marketing strategy to position EU Remote Jobs as a thought leader for remote work in Europe, increasing engagement with both jobseekers and employers
  • Collaborate with writers to produce weekly content for the blog
  • Create a social media strategy that aligns with the overall content marketing strategy

Email Marketing

  • Plan, create, and oversee email marketing campaigns in Mailchimp for different segments
  • Implement marketing automation strategies where applicable

Talent Community

  • Implement and manage a talent community tool within the website
  • Promote our talent community attracting Europe’s top talent across Europe
  • Lead online and offline community building initiatives to nurture and grow our Talent Community

Long-term Objectives (6+ months)

  • Expand our talent community across Europe
  • Develop and execute advanced marketing strategies to attract top talent and grow revenue
  • Implement data-driven improvements to all marketing initiatives
  • Explore and integrate emerging marketing technologies and trends

 

Qualifications and Skills

We’d like to see examples of the following in your application:

  • Demonstratable experience in managing marketing campaigns and automation
  • Demonstrable experience in monetising online platforms
  • Demonstratable experience in community building 
  • Indepth experience in marketing automation tools, particularly Zapier, and experience in setting up automated workflows
  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience using tools like Google Analytics, and marketing analytics platforms
  • Well-versed using email marketing tools
  • Comfortable using WordPress, GA, Notion, Mailchimp, Zapier, ChatGBT, and ready to bring suggestions for new tools we can integrate to our processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate and implement new ideas
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies and marketing strategies

Nice to Have

  • Experience in growing online communities
  • Previous experience in Talent Acquisition

Location: Although this position is open across Europe, we have a strong preference to hire for this role within Ireland

The offer:

  • Salary: €30,000-€35,000 + 5% commission on new revenue generated
  • Salary review in June 2025 and every 12 months thereafter
  • 4 day work week
  • 100% remote working and flexible hours
  • 24 days PTO + public holidays according to the country where you are based
  • Regular team meet ups, in Barcelona  

    Expected Start Date 21st-28th Oct. We will start to review applications from 30th September
