Job Summary Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Athletics – Communications, the Director of Creative Services will provide leadership and strategic direction of the Creative Services unit responsible for creating and executing a graphic design content, digital video content, social media strategy and the overall brand identity for the Athletics Department. This position will act at the lead graphic designer for the Athletics Department. In addition, this position will manage a student Creative Services team with an emphasis on enhancing the Panther Athletics brand through innovative design concepts, effective story‐telling deliverables, and ensuring that the Panther Athletics brand is represented with quality and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • At least one year of full-time experience in graphic design or creative services for college athletics, professional sports, or other related industry
  • Evidence of expertise with Adobe creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign
  • Excellent verbal, written, and creative communication skills, as evidenced by application materials and interviews, where applicable
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively tell stories about student‐athletes, coaches and teams using creative content, including graphic design, motion graphics, photography, and/or digital video content
  • Experience supervising student employees
  • Experience creating multimedia content that has been integrated across multiple platforms
  • Demonstrated knowledge of new media, and social media strategy
