Grant Coordinator for Tumyaraa: The Path Bridging Program

Manage the day-to-day operations of Tumyaraa: The Path Bridging Program. Plan, organize, and implement activities and procedures for the program. Serve as an advocate for the program with administrators, outside agencies, and others on relevant program matters.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Tumyaraa: The Path Bridging Program; provide input on program goals, objectives, and budget; ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, program goals, and objectives; develop and implement program policies and procedures.
  • Provide direct supervision to staff assigned to the program; monitor and review support services utilization and recommend improvements; responsible for personnel management direction and guidance including orientation, performance appraisal, professional development, coaching, and counseling;
  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate campus immersion experiences; plan and arrange travel arrangements for incoming students and counselors as needed.
  • Create and coordinate program orientations and summer college readiness training for participating students and conduct meetings and trainings for faculty, staff, and counselors.
  • In coordination with Family School Counselor and Project Director, establish and maintain a system to monitor and track student participants, faculty and teacher assignments/schedules, program statistics, and related information; retrieve and compile statistical data; prepare and submit reports and communications; create program materials such as brochures and handouts.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with APU Staff and Faculty, Tumyaraa: The Path Bridging Program Director, and Partner School Districts
  • Collaborate with staff from APU to coordinate and provide reasonable accommodations to program students.
  • Act as a liaison between APU and Partner School District personnel regarding program roles and services ensuring student success.
  • Reports to Program Director.
  • Supervisory responsibilities: Family School Counselor.
  • Budget responsibilities: Program budget.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS  

  • Knowledge of a variety of spreadsheets, word-processing, databases, e-mail, and presentation software.
  • Skill in effective communication both written and verbal.
  • Skill in clearly and effectively presenting ideas in meetings and presentations.
  • Skill in leading and managing personnel.
  • Skill in communicating and interacting with individuals at all levels of the institution.
  • Skill in effective leadership and teambuilding.
  • Skill in reviewing and recommending budgets.
  • Skill in initiative and self-direction to perform all areas of responsibility.
