About the department:
You will be part of the Software Engineering team that develop, maintain, and support core Software Engineering systems.
This team focus on ensuring that systems are aligned with the business requirements of the University, are available for use as and when required, are secure to ensure integrity of data and information and developed to take advantage of technology developments and the requirements of the University.
This is an exciting time to join the University amid major institutional change initiatives including replacing the existing Human Resources and Finance system and are in the final stages of a major investment in student systems technologies as part of the student journey transformation programme. The Software Engineering team are critical to the success of both initiatives.

Our preferred candidate will have the ability to work proactively and flexibly to meet deadlines and support team objectives.
They must possess excellent planning skills with the ability to analyse complex situations, explore, evaluate, and recommend potential solutions.
A creative approach to problem solving which produces sound solutions meeting customer needs is also required.
You will have a knowledge and experience of computing coupled with a degree 1st/2.1 and keep up to date with emerging IT trends.
