FEC Graduate Assistantships
Two Graduate Assistantships Prioritized for Applicants from underrepresented groups are available at Clemson University (Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation)
Clemson University’s Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation has designated funding for two Graduate Assistantships (MS and/or PhD) each academic year, ideally for aspiring students from groups historically underrepresented in STEM fields (e.g. BIPOC). The assistantships are 12-month assistantships in the amount of $21,000/year for 2 years (MS students) or $25,000/year for 3 years (PhD students). A full university tuition waiver is included, and full-time enrollment as a graduate student is required.
To apply, a supporting faculty member must submit a nomination letter by January 15th, 2023. Prospective students must submit a CV, unofficial transcripts, and a personal statement outlining the novelty and impact of their proposed research and interest in being a teaching assistant by January 15th, 2023.
