Graduate Recruitment Manager – College of Business and Economics Graduate Programs – 18917

ATTENTION:

The College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a full-time Graduate Recruitment Manager (Recruiter). Academic Staff positions are provided fixed term appointments with annual renewals unless otherwise noted. Reappointment for subsequent terms is dependent upon performance, University funding and external forces.

 JOB DETAILS:

 Working under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Graduate Business Programs, the Graduate Recruitment Manager is responsible for defining and/or refining the objectives for graduate recruitment and carrying out these objectives. The Graduate Recruitment Manager will focus primarily on promoting and recruiting for the various Graduate Programs offered by the University, primarily within the College of Business and Economics. There is an emphasis on online student recruitment. The Graduate Recruitment Manager will be required to do academic advising as needed.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University with 5 or more years of work experience OR a Master’s degree from an accredited College or University with 1 or more years of work experience

  • Demonstrated experience in successful recruiting, marketing, or relevant area
  • Ability to demonstrate self-direction and motivation
  • Willingness to travel/drive and work on some weekends and nights

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying, recruiting, and pro-advising prospective students
  • Responding (including timely follow-ups) to program inquiries
  • Developing and managing Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)-based communications and processes for recruiting
  • Organizing and presenting at on- and off-campus, and virtual information sessions
  • Working collaboratively with the College Admissions, Advising, and Marketing personnel
  • Evaluating effectiveness of recruitment techniques
  • Promoting and recruiting at regional, national, and international recruiting opportunities such as recruiting/career fairs, organizations, and/or universities
  • Being current in recruiting strategies by participating in educational opportunities, attending professional conferences, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks
  • Meeting prospective students and providing College facilities tours
  • Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills

 As Wisconsin’s largest AACSB-accredited business school, The College of Business and Economics provides students with the essential elements of a liberal education and offers 15 majors, 21 minors, 7 undergraduate certificate programs, 8 graduate programs, 13 graduate certificate programs, and a doctoral program; a focused and carefully designed approach to student advising and learning; and a faculty of caring experts and scholars.  A primary goal of the College of Business and Economics is to educate students for the knowledge-based economy of the twenty-first century.
