The Government Account Manager will be responsible for executing the Government Health Strategy by partnering with our internal sales teams, partnering with our dealer distribution, partnering with our SDVOSB, IDIQ, and IO&T Partners as well as our government health end users.Roles and Responsibilities:The Government Account Manager will work in collaboration with sales to coordinate selling efforts with Business Development Managers in the government health vertical market.The GAM will be the sole point of contact for all things as it relates to the VHA – IDIQ Contract.Responsible for all bid packages for the VHA – IDIQ Contract and other Government Health Bids.Support and assist with the IDIQ Administration to include tracking all opportunities, following up withopportunities quoted and updating as needed in Salesforce.Assist with managing the Master Catalog with the VHA-IDIQ through annual modifications forproduct additions and price updates.Exhibit expertise in strategic planning and execution within the government health vertical.Facilitate sales and dealer distribution training on ways to leverage contracts to profitably growthe government health business.Support sales team in building strategies and execution of growing the government healthvertical to include state contracts, GSA contracts and any IDIQ or BPA contracts.Ensure all government health accounts and opportunity activities are reported through Salesforceand forecasted appropriately in the pipeline.Develop, support and build relationships with SDVOSB Partners, IDIQ Partners, IO&TContractors and Government Health end users.The GAM will participate in approved trade shows and serve as the vertical market expert.The GAM will operate as a resource for our Business Development Managers as neededon government health market expertise.Ability to collaborate and partner with different types of people.Assertive, self-starter with the self-confidence to deliver results with little supervision and workingthrough others to achieve results.Ability to manage conflict and work to a resolution.Strong presentation skills and experience addressing large groups and key influencers.Demonstrated high level of integrity, business ethics, and leadership skills.Ability to think strategically and be an effective decision maker.Negotiation skills.Comfortable operating in a state of ambiguity, uncertainty, and constant change and flexible to adaptto change.Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field, preferred.5 years sales and account management experience in the Healthcare market.Prior experience/ knowledge of the furniture industry preferred.Maintain necessary communication with the Vice President, Sales for the East and West.
