As part of The Coalition’s gameplay team, the Gameplay Producer assumes responsibility for overseeing a multidisciplinary team comprised of designers, engineers and artists, collaborating closely with the Production leaders to drive feature development to fruition. As a member of the Production team, you’ll play a vital role in cultivating a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. This entails crafting production roadmaps based on backlogs and collaborating with product owners to establish sprint and milestone objectives for your area.

Responsibilities

Milestone planning, execution, and prioritization, along with adept management of dependencies.

Articulating project objectives, overseeing deliverables, ensuring seamless alignment between teams and product goals, and maintaining a high standard of efficiency and quality.

Flexibility in adapting to varying product needs throughout development phases.

Proactive identification and management of risks, employing mitigation strategies as needed.

Advocating for efficient production methodologies, pinpointing opportunities for process enhancement to bolster effectiveness, and contributing to the refinement of production practices across the team.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years of experience in production roles in the gaming industry

OR equivalent experience.

Experience in development and shipping of at least one AAA game.
Preferred Qualifications:

You can shepherd features from the initial stages of ideation through to their final shipping phase.

You have a knack for collaborating seamlessly with creatives, skillfully managing time constraints within development processes. You thrive in situations where the outcome may not beclear, yet you drive a clear vision forward and ensure we meet our deadlines.

You are invested in the products you work on, engaging regularly in play testing the game with the aim of being a product expert. You are technically inclined and are eager to understand how features work. You aim to fluently discuss features in technical terms and feel comfortable delving into the details of technical requirements.

You have a passion for empowering your team to solve challenges, and you excel at foreseeing dependencies and future issues in designs.

You are customer-centric, with a keen focus on delivering the best possible experience to both content creators and players alike.

You are well-versed and comfortable working within modern project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, and others.

Your communication skills enable you to thrive in collaborative environments, where you eagerly engage with designers, engineers, and content creators to achieve shared goals.
Game Producers IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $83,600 – CAD $159,600 per year.
