About This Opportunity
The Future Student Officer, under the direction of the Regional Manager, Future Students will contribute to strategy development and implement a recruitment plan to achieve commencement targets in the designated region.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategy and Planning
Work co-operatively in a team to contribute to the development and implementation of a student recruitment plan for the designated region to achieve recruitment targets
Assist the Regional Manager by providing timely intelligence and researching trends and competitor activities to inform strategy
Provide recommendations to improve recruitment plans based on stakeholder feedback and research
Support team members across the Future Student Division when workloads are uneven – at the direction of the Regional Manager
Ensure compliance, University policies and quality objectives are adhered to when implementing recruitment initiatives and have specific international recruitment knowledge of the region/segment
Stakeholder engagement
Work effectively to build and enhance relationships with channel partners (eg agents, schools, institutions, sponsors), influencers (eg parents and peers) and internal stakeholders to deliver recruitment initiatives for the designated region on time and within budget
Arrange regular training programs and information sessions for internal and external stakeholders
Manage the University’s agent network and monitor and provide feedback on the agents’ performance
Future Student Engagement
Organise and coordinate international student recruitment activities in the region, and orientation sessions for future students.
Work with stakeholders to deliver future student recruitment activities including, but are not limited to, presentations, information sessions, career markets and expos, campus experiences and other recruitment events.
Project manage all aspects of assigned recruitment initiatives as directed by the Regional Manager.
Represent the University at both online and face-to-face student recruitment events designed to attract qualified and high achieving students.
Provide accurate advice to prospective students about UQ programs and admissions information.
Student Conversions
Work with stakeholders to deliver tactical and culturally appropriate initiatives to achieve conversion.
Provide assistance to deliver conversion campaigns including arranging logistics to ensure effective lead capture at recruitment events, and further ensure leads are effectively entered into appropriate nurture tracks.
Marketing and Communication
Draft content for presentations, campaigns and other communications as required, and co-ordinate the development of tailored marketing collateral (digital or print) and campaigns for the designated regions with Marketing and Communication.
Reporting and Analysis
Prepare briefing notes, reports and presentations as required.
Assist the Regional Manager to monitor outcomes including assessing initiatives and channel partners and seek feedback from stakeholders to consider ways to improve outcomes.
Utilise a range of technologies to implement recruitment initiatives and stakeholder training.
Raise issues in a timely manner and work with the Regional Manager on solutions.

About You
Completion of a degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
Proven experience in implementing recruitment plans and initiatives through effective customer service and relationship management to achieve targets.
Experience in providing market intelligence, conducting research, and gathering data to help assess recruitment initiatives and inform future strategies.
Ability to effectively develop and manage channel partner relationships to achieve recruitment targets.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a culturally diverse team for shared outcomes.
Highly developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage a high-volume workload.
High level communication and intercultural skills with the ability to prepare concise reports, draft marketing content specific to the target region, and conduct presentations.
Knowledge of the Australian international higher education sector.
What We Can Offer
This is a Full-time, 100% FTE, Fixed-term position through to 31 December 2024 at HEW Level 6.
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $82,399.95 – $88,503.79 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $96,407.95 – $103,549.43 per annum.
