Full-time Two-year Limited-term Appointment, Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science at Bishop’s University invites applications for a full-time two-year Limited-Term Appointment (LTA) at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor (teaching-focused), beginning July 1, 2026 (date flexible).

The successful candidate will contribute primarily to undergraduate teaching and curriculum development in cybersecurity and secure systems, supporting the department’s growing Cybersecurity concentration. Teaching responsibilities may include courses in computer and network security, secure systems design, ethical hacking, low-level systems, and related areas. Experience with embedded or hardware-adjacent systems security is considered an asset, but is not a requirement.

Qualifications
• PhD in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field (completed or near completion), or equivalent high-level industrial experience in cybersecurity
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in cybersecurity, secure systems, or closely related areas
• Practical, applied, or industry experience in cybersecurity is a strong asset and may substitute for a PhD
• Experience with embedded systems or hardware–software interaction is a plus

Duties
• Teach three (3) courses per semester (or equivalent)
• Contribute to curriculum development in cybersecurity and related systems areas
• Participate in departmental service
