Full Time Security Guard – Corporate Events in Toronto, Ontario

We are seeking Full Time Security Guards for corporate events on a weekly basis for our client in Downtown Toronto. You will have a flexible schedule and be available sometimes at short notice. You have strong customer service acumen with ability to resolve issues with a diverse background of individuals. You have or be willing to obtain a Smart Serve Certification.

Position Overview:

Wages: $19.63/hr

Shift timings: Monday to Friday (Mornings and Afternoons)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor corporate events where there is consumption of alcohol, keeping and restoring order during such events.

• De-escalate any and all situations involving client employees and visitors ensuring the safety of all attendees.

• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.

• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.

• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.

• Perform foot patrols within the event area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security Licence.

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.

• 1 year of event security experience minimum preferably with corporate events.

• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.

• Smart Serve Certification or be willing to obtain.

• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
