Department Summary The Office of the Dean in the School of Education is located on the second floor of DAL 1. The school serves over 400 students who are preparing for teacher certification at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Position Summary The Office of the Dean in the School of Education is hiring students to do clerical work, small projects, and man the front desk to answer questions and greet guests of the Dean’s office.
EXAMPLES OF WORK

  • Greeting guests and addressing questions.
  • Guide students and visitors to locations on campus.
  • Assist faculty with organizing or preparing their workspace.
  • Basic clerical work.
  • Work the front desk of the Dean’s Office

Additional Posting Details

Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled UNT Dallas, UNT Dallas College of Law, HSC or UNT student in good standing and making satisfactory progress toward completion of a degree or certification program. Applicants must possess the following:

  • Must qualify as work-study eligible.
  • Excellent customer service skills, as well as effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Some knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural and social backgrounds.
  • Responsible, reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to learn assigned tasks readily, to adhere to prescribed routines, and to develop some skill in the operation of common office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Education Major.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
Required License / Registration / Certification
Work Schedule
  • 20 hours per week (Part-Time)
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 – 6:00pm
