Our Ajax client, a leading supplier of building supplies and materials, is looking for a Front Counter Associate to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers at the front counter in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer customer inquiries in both Cantonese and English
• Promote and sell building materials, offering product knowledge and solutions to customer needs
• Process customer orders and transactions accurately
• Maintain organized and clean front counter and work area
• Support inventory management by tracking and restocking materials
• Handle phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1-2 years of Customer Service and Counter Sales experience
• Proficient in English, Cantonese, Mandarin (written and verbal)
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, POS system)
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Safety shoes required

Bonus Qualifications:

• Flexibility to work at both Markham and Ajax locations (transportation to Ajax provided if required)
• Previous sales experience (asset)

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Pay Rate: $20-22 per hour
