Hiring Framer with Lead Hand Experience

All indoor work – production facility environment

Will be working in a production environment (modular assembly line) with about 9+ different assemblers and tradespeople.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 7am-3:30 or 6am-2:30pm if you prefer to start and end earlier.

Description:

Will be working as a framer on an assembly line for residential structures. Tasks include general carpentry duties such as framing and cutting lumber for assembly and insulation. Will be building exterior walls, roof trusses, completing rough-ins, Will mostly use a variety of nail guns (have 9 different types), chop saws, and a table saw.

May also be asked to assist other trades where required (such as plumbers, welders and electricians). They will also be asked to take on various cleaning duties of the shop and rental units when required. Will also utilize a wide variety of hand and power tools such as drills, electric shears, skill saws, hammers, etc.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

3+ years experience residential framing

Leadership experience

Table saw and chop saw experience (most important of like to haves)

Basic construction aptitude/ability to lean (2nd most important like to have)

Having the following is an asset:

Fall protection certification

Forklift experience (sit down propane or yard forklift)

Overhead crane

CSTS

WHMIS

This is a long term position, with opportunities for growth, where the work is stable, and not dependent on the weather
