FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT MANAGER

UW Madison Conference Centers Pyle Center Catering is seeking a food service assistant manager to develop and maintain the highest-level industry service and etiquette standards. In this position you will cater to continuing professional adult education courses held at the Pyle Center which may include breakfast, breaks, lunch, receptions, bars or dinner. This is an exciting opportunity for an outgoing and customer friendly person to lead full and part time staff in the execution of exceptional customer service and elegant catered events at the Pyle Center.

• 40% Develops, implements and oversees workflow components, and assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff
• 5% Selects, develops, implements and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
• 30% Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities
• 20% Assists with unit budget monitoring, management of inventory levels, and staff training
• 5% Monitors adherence to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures, identifies needs and makes recommendations for improvement to leadership

• Develop and maintain highest level industry service and etiquette standards.
• Act as the ambassador of the facility to ensure every expectation of the client and their guests are met.
• Maintains operational practices to ensure all food service sanitation standards are consistently met.
