| Primary Purpose of Position | The Maintenance Technician is an integral part of the daily operations, maintenance and preventive care of the Student Union at UNC Charlotte. The primarily responsible is for the development, assessment, and implementation of all related preventive maintenance tasks, work requests, and other assigned projects within the Student Union. He/She should possess at least one trade as carpenter, painter, or plumber at a Journey Level. Serves as a member of the Student Union Facility Services Team and participates in all departmental initiatives and developmental activities. Responsible for guiding and leading efforts to identify and resolve facility-related maintenance problems, as well as promoting outstanding customer service to all constituents of the Student Union. |
| Minimum Education/Experience | Required Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years experience. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. |
