Facilities Management (FM) provides maintenance, grounds, and custodial services to the entire campus. FM serves as a partner within the zone structure for the Contract Colleges (CC), Endowed (EN), and Student and Campus Life (SCL) zones.
As a key steward of the University’s facilities, FM is responsible for facility assessments, skilled trades, general construction, building care, grounds, recycling, asbestos, and the management of planned, corrective, and preventive maintenance.
The Facilities Management (FM) Asset Management and Logistics (FM-AML) organization is a cross-functional organization supporting facility maintenance, repair, and operations across Cornell’s beautiful Ithaca campus. As part of FM-AML this position provides the opportunity to collaboratively lead the procurement program for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials, equipment rentals, and maintenance services with annual spend in excess of $20 million.
The FM Procurement Manager is responsible for FM’s procurement program strategy, processes and implementation, and compliance with university policy and internal controls. This role is responsible for program operations including all aspects of day-to-day procurement activity engaged throughout the life cycle of an order from sourcing through cost recovery.
Core responsibilities and activity include customer engagement, vendor management, establishing and managing partnerships across Cornell, use of multiple complex software systems, and day-to-day supervision and training for the FM Procurement staff consisting of both union and non-union staff.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience in a field related to supply chain management, business administration, finance, or associated related field.

Must possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office 365
-
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership traits, is team and service oriented, and demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Demonstrated proficiency with Maximo or other CMMS systems, Kuali or other General Ledger Systems, Jagger or other Purchasing systems, Workday.

Demonstrated knowledge of project management, construction management, and/or maintenance management.

General knowledge of building systems
Work Environment
Vaccination for access to certain facilities as required such as require influenza annually, COVID to be fully immunized and up-to-date, and medical surveillance for tuberculosis.
