Summary of Job Duties:

The Fiscal Support Supervisor will be accountable and responsible for providing fiscal support for ongoing business operations and supervising the activities of fiscal support personnel within an assigned department or program. This position is additionally responsible for the oversight of transactions including but not limited to assisting in areas of procurement, p-card processing, travel processing, maintenance of the program’s operational budget and reporting. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Secondarily, the fiscal support supervisor will be responsible for managing and maintaining our program facilities and other duties as assigned.
This position directly reports to the Data Science Program Manager. Maintaining a professional, well-groomed appearance will be required.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Applicable equivalencies may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year experience in fiscal operations

  • Competence and experience using Workday

  • Two or more years’ experience in fiscal and budgetary operations in higher education

  • Experience with the budgeting process, tracking expenses, and balancing various accounts

  • Experience working with Federal Grant Administration, especially related to finance

  • Experience working with foundation accounts, donor gifts and donor relations, and scholarships

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

  • Knowledge of department operations, policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations

  • Knowledge of software application programs, database management, and accounting principles

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrate attention to detail, meet deadlines and think creatively

  • Ability to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews, resolve operational problems, and prepare required reports

  • Ability to work professionally with external and internal college stakeholders

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and through electronic communications

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, workspace, and work discreetly with confidential records and information

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team-oriented environment

Salary Information:

$40,000 – $48,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
