Summary of Job Duties:

The Fiscal Support Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks that are standard or regular support duties within an assigned department or program. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • plus two years of general clerical, bookkeeping, basic accounting, billing, or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with administrative support in a professional setting

  • Demonstrated experience of successful working relationships with both internal and external constituents

  • Demonstrated experience of professional communications of written, verbal, and electronic messages

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of business office functions of a professional setting, including procurement, travel, and other general business functions

  • Knowledge of computers, software applications, multi-function copiers, internet, and phone technologies

  • Knowledge of customer service methods and techniques

  • Interpersonal relationship skills in a professional setting

  • Communication skills to include written, verbal, and electronic messages

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of internal and external constituents

  • Ability to understand and adhere to policies and procedures

  • Ability to adhere to a regular, reliable, and non-disruptive work schedule
