Primary Function of Organizational Unit The College of Fine Arts and Communication houses four unique fine arts centered schools, each with their own varying programs. The College serves as the connector of collaboration from day-to-day operations to community outreach between The School of Art & Design, The School of Communication, The School of Music, and The School of Theatre and Dance. Our programs provide immersive and authentic experiences that will prepare you for success on the global stage – in-person and virtually.
Job Duties This position will serve to assist in the recording and production effort of all virtual performances for the performance units within the College of Fine Arts and Communication – Theatre, Dance, and Music. This person will:
-Assist in developing high quality 360° video, photography, and 3D space modeling for CFAC.
-Assist CFAC multicamera video switching, recording, and post-production.
-Assist with equipment setup, installation, and maintenance. Install [camera system at McGinnis Theatre], operate, maintain, and repair electronic equipment.
-Assist with analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of transmission, microwave and remote studio site equipment when making the 360 rig work.
-Independently research and develop skills required to fulfil project goals.
-Perform additional audio/video related tasks as needed.
Minimum Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation N/A
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education Audio/Video recording experience and/or degree in Music, Theatre, or Art
License or Certification Required by the Department N/A
