| Job Summary |
This position is responsible to assist the Budget Manager with financial activities such as financial analysis, budgets, financial reports, data reports, monitoring accounts and other business management services. |
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Produces accounting reports and financial analysis. Prepares various financial reports including monthly summary reports, salary rosters, and budget analysis. Performs complex financial or resource research and studies for both internal department and external constituents. Examples include periodic financial reports, staff salary budgets, contracts, rates and/or fees. Financial and/or resource analysis could include budgetary analysis, financial analysis, forecasts, projections or FTE analysis.
- Assists departments with all budget and accounting issues and provides accounting training, assistance and support to departments within the College on grant issues.
- Develop forecasts regarding expenses and identifies risks and opportunities.
- Assists with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Oversees and coordinates special projects for the College. Performs other duties as assigned.

| Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting with experience in planning, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Previous higher education experience and proficiency with PeopleSoft & Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Strong knowledge of the principles and theories of finance, accounting or other related fields and disciplines as demonstrated in related positions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and functionalities of financial accounting and reporting systems. Ability to use query and reporting tools. In-depth ability to use multiple spreadsheet and database software tools to gather information for specialized, complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn how to effectively use Business Intelligence reporting tools and forecast modeling tools to support budget, planning and forecast activities.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work. Ability to handle multiple assignments of various durations.
- Excellent organizational skills in identifying and prioritizing work activities. Ability to identify, collect and analyze information from multiple sources.
