The Finance Team manages the performance and risk profile of Bell, ensuring the needs of customers, investors and employees are balanced with long-term business success. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans that help the company achieve its strategic objectives and ensure financial sustainability.

Summary

The Manager Finance–Infrastructure Services (IS) will be a key member of the Bell Business Markets Finance Team, and will be reporting into the Senior Manager Finance – IS. This role will provide value added reporting on the Product portfolio, providing the executive team with information that will support business decisions through the financial planning and reporting cycle. The candidate will also work closely with various stakeholders to understand and evaluate key business trends and drivers to formulate recommendations and develop sophisticated forecasts.

The successful candidate will need to possess strong accounting, analytical and technical skills and a clear ability to identify key business trends and issues. The candidate will also have strong communication skills to build relationships at various levels of the organization and the confidence to participate in Senior-level discussions. In addition, the candidate will be a self-starter that is able to work independently to complete specified tasks under tight deadlines within a fast-paced working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the month-end results reporting consolidation process within the Infrastructure Service (IS) Line of Business by providing insightful analysis on key variances amongst various product portfolios

  • Support the Product team during the forecast cycles to ensure that there is alignment across all stakeholders for key revenue and metric targets

  • Responsible for presenting the monthly results to the executive team

  • Prepare monthly journal entries as required

  • Assist on ad-hoc projects and business case analysis for various strategic initiatives to drive improved profitability

Critical Qualifications

  • Professional designation of CPA, CFA or relevant Masters Degree (or working towards)

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in a financial or analytical role

  • Detail-oriented, effective at managing time and prioritizing, a quick learner and critical thinker

  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve when information is not readily available

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to articulate business issues and solutions succinctly in front of an executive team

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization

  • Strong knowledge of Excel, SAP, BPC, MicroStrategy, and Alteryx advantageous
