Key Responsibilities:

As the Finance Systems Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing financial systems, ensuring data reliability, and driving enhancements. You will lead a global team of system specialists, focusing on complex, cross-functional solutions. You will be required to use your expertise in project management, problem-solving, and collaboration, with a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.

Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leadership and Resource Management: Lead and manage a team, overseeing all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Develop strategies and plans for business continuity and departmental goals. Identify and coordinate internal and external resources to meet program objectives. Collaborate with other teams to align resources across projects. Negotiate resource changes to meet project objectives and timelines.

System Optimization: Lead system implementation projects, from planning to adoption, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Provide input for designing and implementing solutions, collaborating with business partners to identify new technology opportunities. Assess the impact of requirements on existing systems and work processes, coordinating with impacted areas for integration. Evaluate business needs, diagnose complex problems, and recommend software or hardware changes to expedite issue resolution. Proactively support business units, addressing problems and enhancing processes within managed systems. Analyze, design, develop, and document systems to meet business requirements and ensure performance aligns with future needs. Forecast utilization patterns and recommend changes for improved system availability, reliability, and performance.

System Integrity: Establish and monitor maintenance standards, including routine tasks, backups, patch management, and hot fixes. Oversee system installations, configurations, hardware maintenance, and software components.
Escalate and ensure Level 3 production support for issue resolution, collaborating with internal departments and external service providers. Maintain adherence to security requirements and establish systems environment standards.
Collaborate with auditors, security groups, and data owners to ensure governance, regulatory compliance, and policy adherence.

Subject Matter Expertise: Manage and offer guidance in the team’s area of expertise. Provide advice on application usage, system capabilities, current systems, emerging technology, and management. Ensure Global Finance Solutions and other stakeholders are trained in technology/system usage and process understanding. Proactively support business units, addressing issues and enhancing processes within managed systems. Review, analyze, and recommend improvements for application and system efficiency. Promote continuous learning and capacity building for end-users.

Stakeholder and Vendor Management: Review and assess service provider performance. Identify and verify performance issues, notifying contract managers as needed. Offer feedback and guidance to vendor relationships.

Business Continuity: Develop and establish business continuity and backfilling plans. Maintain system operating procedures and documentation.
Contribute to the development and implementation of contingency plans, including reliable backup and restore procedures. Collaborate in identifying vulnerabilities and their mitigation.

Others: Manage and participate in assigned projects, contributing to various assignments and tasks. Assist FD&C and other GFS leadership in their initiatives. Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, etc., as necessary.
Participate in chapel services, daily devotions, and uphold World Vision’s core values and behaviors. Lead by example in promoting World Vision’s values and holding team members accountable for the same.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6-8 years related technical experience including substantial experience in designing, planning and implementing finance systems or information technology related to finance.

  • Minimum 4 years of managerial experience, ideally in a large non-profit or multinational organization.

  • 6-8 years of ERP experience or4-6 years in the applicable system/application.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience with specialized training or certifications.

  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Adaptability to thrive in a multicultural, geographically dispersed work environment. Demonstrated ability for independent, critical thinking, self-learning, and complex problem-solving.

  • Strong analytical, multitasking, and organizational skills. Excellent prioritization and resource allocation capabilities.

  • Willingness to work independently and take ownership of decisions within their area of responsibility.

Good-to-have:

  • Proficiency in information systems, application architecture, system integration, data management, change management, and stakeholder management.

  • Considerable experience in designing, developing, and testing applications with emerging technologies.

  • Strong understanding of project management principles.
