Finance – Instructors, Part-time

The UBC Sauder School of Business Finance Division, at the Vancouver Point Grey Campus, is seeking applicant(s) for Part-time instructor(s) to teach finance courses beginning September 1, 2026 or January 1, 2027. The expected salary range for the position is $3,000 to $4,000 per teaching credit (many courses are 3 credits).

Qualifications:
• A degree in finance, economics, or related relevant discipline is required; a Bachelor’s degree at a minimum, a Master’s or PhD is preferred.
• A proven track record of effective teaching in face-to-face, blended, or online environments—demonstrated through strong teaching evaluations, awards, or other indicators—is preferred.
• Recent experience in the finance industry is advantageous.
• Strong ability to collaborate within a team of research and teaching faculty is essential.

Responsibilities: The position will focus primarily on teaching courses in the Bachelor of Commerce Finance program and may include teaching in professional graduate programs in business. Other responsibilities and expectations include: Liaising with faculty members to prepare syllabus and course materials, active participation in faculty and undergraduate / graduate program preparatory and review meetings, course development in accordance with faculty members, holding office hours and related activities for students.
