Finance Assistant

The Department of Social Policy and Intervention (DSPI) is looking to appoint a part-time Finance Assistant to join our busy team.

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day financial administrative activities in accordance with University and external financial controls. Responsibilities include preparing and processing invoices, updating, providing and distributing standard financial budget reports and maintaining databases and records. You will deal with queries and provide advice, escalating to more senior colleagues when appropriate. You will need to build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders and also assist with the day to day running of our Ethics application process.

You will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent and be a competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and databases. You will have experience of financial administration, with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and experience of working to deadlines. Knowledge of the University’s Oracle financial system would be desirable.
