The Development & Alumni Relations Office (DARO) at Ulster University engages and works in partnership with alumni, partners, staff, students, volunteers and the wider community to further the strategic aims of the University. These reciprocal relationships increase engagement with the University both locally and globally and increase philanthropic and other forms of income and strategic partnerships in support of University priorities. This role is a key one within DARO as it ensures that all income received via DARO is processed and reported on, both internally and externally, to the highest professional standard.

The Finance Administrator (DARO) is responsible for the collection and disbursement of all income that enters the University via DARO from both UK and overseas entities and individuals. The role has key responsibility for ensuring appropriate processes are reviewed, developed and implemented for the effective and accurate recording, allocation and reporting of all income received via DARO. The role is the key point of contact within DARO on all finance queries, including pledge management arrangements, payment transfers both internally and externally, and Gift Aid claims. The role also acts as a key liaison with the University¿s Finance Office to maintain and develop an exceptional income management operation for the University¿s alumni and partners.

As part of their role, the postholder will build and develop relationships with key staff across the University in relation to income processing, including colleagues in the University¿s Finance Office, other professional services colleagues, and academic colleagues.
