Fellowship/Associate – Department of Surg (Endocrine Surgery)

Emory University is a leading research university that fosters excellence and attracts world-class talent to innovate today and prepare leaders for the future. We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.

This is an AAES approved 1 year fellowship position selected through the AAES match process. The fellowship focuses on the surgical management and treatment of diseases of the endocrine organs. In particular surgical diseases of the thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals and pancreas. Cases performed will be variants of thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, open and laparoscopic adrenalectomy as well as pancreas resections for functional neuroendocrine tumors. There will also be general surgery call responsibilities within the division of General Surgery.

Preference for this position will be given to those who have already had high quality academic output. The intent of the fellowship has always been to prepare future leaders in Endocrine Surgery. The case mix can be straight-forward to the most complex given the referral patterns to Emory University Hospital. There is ample opportunity for clinical research as well as coordinating with our metabolomics group for basic science research.

To ensure the safety of our campus community, the COVID-19 vaccine is required. For more information on the University and Hospital policies and potential exemptions, please see our website.
