We have immediate openings for the Farm Clean Out Crews at our Loretto, TN facility. These positions are responsible for performing ground labor and assisting equipment operators in the cleaning of poultry houses and equipment. All positions are day shift. Pay starts at $16/hr. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
Basic understanding of machinery tears down and setup
Standing for extended periods (up to 6 hours)
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs
Strong sense of personal responsibility
Takes accountability for individual performance
Bending and stooping repetitively throughout shift
Work with chemicals, such as detergents, disinfectants
Basic chemical understanding is a strong plus
Able to withstand prolonged exposure to dry, dusty environments, the ongoing presence of farm-related smells or foul odors, and extreme climate exposure both hot and cold
Ability to work in a damp and/or wet climate
Valid drivers license is a MUST
All required clothing and PPE is provided.
The following duties will vary according to the needs of the department. Normal duties will include:
Adhering to and maintaining sanitation, bio-security, and safety practices at all times
Following defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to properly complete tasks.
Preparing houses for cleanout
Emptying feeders
Strip litter and remove all debris
Adjust, remove, or teardown equipment as necessary
Scrap cement floors
Use designated chemicals to sanitized all floors, walls, slats, machinery as defined by the SOP
