Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Building and Ground Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for routine preventive maintenance, minor repair of grounds equipment and completion of landscape construction projects.

Responsibilities: Inspects, maintains, and repairs basic equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage. Assists with construction, and operational maintenance as needed.
  • 20% Utilizes equipment to repair and maintain standard machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation
  • 15% Performs routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness
  • 15% Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures
  • 20% Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries to appropriate entities under general supervision
  • 10% Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed
  • 10% Maintains the health of existing plants and lanscape using a variety of vehicles and equipment.
  • 5% Performs all necessary snow removal duties throughout the winter.
  • 5% Assists with lawn construction and landscaping projects including soil grading, seeding, and sodding.

Education:

Preferred
H.S. Diploma

Qualifications:

Candidate must be available for snow removal and overtime work as needed.
Candidate must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending, stooping and kneeling for extended periods of time.
Candidate must possess a Class B Commercial Drivers License with air-brakes and tanker endorsements.

License/Certification:

Required
CDL – Commercial Drivers License
Required
Pesticide Applicator – State Licensure

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 7AM – 3:30PM

Full Time: 100%
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Salary:

Minimum $22.00 HOURLY
