Summary of Job Duties:

The Extra Help Assistant-Library Student IT Assistant is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible position within Ottenheimer Library and the Learning Commons responsible for end-user support and assisting the IT Coordinator with the technical operations by providing IT-related hardware, software, and administrative/clerical duties. The position requires working 12-15 hours per week. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled at UA Little Rock;
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Two (2) or more years of relevant experience.

Job Duties:

  • Provide direct support to users both virtually and in person in a responsive, customer service-focused manner;
  • Coordinate as necessary with the service desk operation within IT Services;
  • Under the direction of the IT Coordinator, perform systems management for technology including setups, configurations, repairs, deployments, software upgrades, patch management, and inventories;
  • Report on status, success, problems, and outages in a professional and timely manner;
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
