FAES Agriculture and Natural Resources

This position will manage the Spotted Lanternfly (SLF) Educational Campaign Via Food and Ice Cream Trucks, a funded grant through US EPA. The position will contact and coordinate with up to 10 food truck vendors in each of the six identified cities (Cleveland, Dayton, New Philadelphia, Columbus, Toledo and Cincinnati) to carry and advertise for SLF awareness using magnet signs during their daily business travels around those cities. This individual will communicate with the local AgNR Educators in each County office by providing weekly updates on progress, recruitment and coordination with food trucks and food truck events in the designated cities. This individual will also communicate with Ohio Department of Agricutlure counterparts to ensure coordination of SLF materials at these events. This individual will ensure supplies such as magnetic signs and SLF materials (cups and napkins) are delivered to participating project partners such as the food truck vendors, including driving them to the designated locations if necessary or arranging for shipping of materials. This person will travel to each city or nearby location at least once during the summer to attend a food truck rally where promotional items and additional informational flyers will be distributed to attendees at these events. Funds to reimburse in-state mileage for travel have been estimated at are included with the position. The position will be housed in the OSU Extension, Lucas County Office, 5403 Elmer Drive, Toledo, Ohio.
