University of Leeds
View All Vacancies
As Co-Lead for the ESREP Integrated Course Unit (ICU), you will be jointly responsible for leadership, delivery, assessment, evaluation and development of this component within the undergraduate medical degree programme at Leeds University (MBChB). ESREP is the dissertation component of the ENQUIRE-RESS strand undertaken by year fourth and fifth year students.
You will work to develop the ESREP strand and contribute to the ENQUIRE-RESS Strand of the MBChB. The ENQUIRE-RESS Strand provides our undergraduate medical students with the opportunity to acquire audit, evaluation and research skills to help them think critically about their delivering and innovation of evidence-based healthcare within the first three years of their undergraduate degrees.
The projects undertaken by students in ESREP, during their fourth and fifth years, provide them with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills developed from ENQUIRE-RESS years to an area of clinical practice that interests them. Students work in pairs to develop their project protocol, write a literature review and collect data in their fourth year, before presenting their work both orally and as a written manuscript in year five. Students are supervised by clinicians, researchers and academic expert tutors.
