The Open Polytechnic is redeveloping eight courses within the qualification Bachelor of Information of Technology to bring into line with recent changes in the Certificate in Information Technology and Diploma in Web Development and Design.

The courses will be developed over a time period of 5 – 6 months starting in late 2022, and continuing into the first half of 2023. You will need to commit around 7 hours per week over this period.  If you would like more information about the Programme of Study, please use the following link:

The role will be undertaken remotely and will see you responding with advice and guidance to assist learning designers in writing assessments and courseware. You would also assist with reviewing courseware prior to publishing in iQualify (our learning delivery platform) and assisting with predevelopment scoping and planning as we start the overall development in November/December and for each course next year.

We need people with a commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi who are skilled and have practical experience in information technology in either an employment, training or education role and can bring knowledge of the Pacific perspectives and methodologies to an educational context.

You will have a high standard of written English and be an excellent and flexible team player capable of rapid response to learning designer requests.

Your cover letter should outline your relevant academic knowledge and practical experience and your specific area of expertise.

Internal appointments to any of these roles would be a formal secondment.
