Project Overview:

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) represent a frontier in human-computer interaction, enabling direct communication between the brain and external devices. This project delves into the synergy between BCIs and artificial intelligence (AI), aiming to develop novel techniques for enhancing human capabilities interacting with Information Systems. By leveraging advanced AI algorithms and BCI technologies, we seek to unlock new possibilities for applications in assistive technology. This research promises to reshape the landscape of human-machine interaction and pave the way for innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

Key Objectives:

• Identify challenges associated with AI-enhanced BCIs in assistive technology.
• Develop AI-driven BCI applications specifically tailored for Information Systems, empowering individuals by providing intuitive and efficient means of communication, control, and assistance.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the developed AI-enhanced BCI applications.
• Collaborate with experts from diverse disciplines, including neuroscience, computer science, and healthcare, to leverage complementary expertise and perspectives, advancing the state-of-the-art in AI-enhanced BCI technology.
• Disseminate research findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in relevant fields.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (2:1 or above) in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Neuroscience, or related disciplines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of research methodologies and experimental design.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.

Desirable:

• Prior experience in brain-computer interface research or neurotechnology.
• Knowledge of signal processing techniques and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
