Assist the Wexner Center for the Arts exhibitions team with museum-quality art handling related to installation and de-installation of exhibitions. Tasks include: moving artwork (big/small/heavy/light) and crates; assisting with art packing/unpacking; hanging and installing art using various equipment and systems; cleaning and preparing gallery spaces, climbing ladders, patching and painting walls, light carpentry, and demolition work; and implementing display designs.

Must be able to follow direction, work safely as part of a team, and observe best practices associated with art handling and associated museum tasks. Experience with interior painting, shop equipment and hand-held tools is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. safely, work on 8 to10-foot ladders and 20-foot personnel lifts.

This is a recurring temporary position and corresponds with the Wexner Center for the Arts rotating gallery programming

35% moving/packing/unpacking shipping crates

35% light carpentry/cleaning/gallery prep

30% installing artworks

The target hourly rate for this position is $16.50 – $17.50.
