Executive/Senior Executive, Foundations of Clinical Practice [LKCMedicine]

The role of the Executive/Senior Executive Foundations of Clinical Practice (FCP) is to provide administrative and logistical support in the planning and running of the Foundations of Clinical Practice course at LKCMedicine. The Executive will assist in the planning and day to day management of educational and departmental activities, providing administrative support to the Leads and ensuring a good learning experience for the students. The Executive is also required to work closely with the other departments to support major School events and activities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing Clinical Procedures (CP) sessions, providing essential support to the CP Lead in:

  • Assisting with the running of Year 1 – 5 Clinical Procedures sessions

  • Setup/cleanup of teaching labs/venues

  • Preparation of teaching materials

  • Maintaining lab store and equipment/consumables

  • Inventory checks and procurement of teaching consumables

  • Engagement of facilitators and simulated patients

  • Timely dissemination of teaching information to facilitators and simulated patients

  • Sending confirmation and reminder emails to facilitators and simulated patients

• Supporting medical students’ examinations/OSCEs

• Work with the other FCP Leads on ad-hoc assignments

Requirements

• A diploma or a degree with at least 2 years relevant experience

• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)

• Experience in medical education administration

• Able to handle large volumes of workload accurately and efficiently

This is a 3 years contract appointment.
