Base Salary $111,966 – $126,271 p.a. (HEO8) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
Working in a large complex school, the Executive Officer provides high-level strategic advice and operational support to the School Manager and Head of School on the delivery of core education, research and operational services to achieve the School mission and objectives.
This position is one of two Executive Officers in SOLES who work closely together to fulfil the responsibilities and accountabilities of the position, with each assigned specific areas of focus: Executive Officer (Education and Research) and Executive Officer (Operations and Projects). We are currently seeking applications from highly-motivated individuals with experience leading teams to deliver high-quality education and/or research support to fill the vacancy for the Executive Officer (Education and Research).
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- provide strategic planning, policy advice and support
- manage communications and relationships with key stakeholders
- provide effective leadership and management guidance and support to staff
- manage the efficient utilisation and deployment of resources
- oversee governance and key compliance requirements, including WHS
- manage ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

demonstrated leadership experience in the supervision, training, mentoring, and performance management of staff

strong relationship building and influencing skills, as well as negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality

excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes.

working knowledge of various software programs and systems such as Student Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, Timetabling, PowerBi reporting dashboards, Content Management Systems, Travel, Expense and Purchasing Systems.
